At Phambili, our focus is to provide solutions to important global challenges through research and innovation. Our research projects are aligned with select sustainable development goals in relation to business and market-determining factors and policy perspectives in government and civil society, to bring about change that will result in economic, social and environmental prosperity for mankind. Through our research, we expand on and continue broad and critical global conversations in national or regional contexts to drive positive change in society. Our strategic alliances, competence and expertise in research and implementation exist primarily to deliver quantifiable impact.
Phambili manages and operates several research clusters in different sectors in the economy. Our approach is to facilitate collaboration among experts in the field with similar research interests, in a partnership with our organization to plan and execute independent research projects. By doing this, we are able to cover broad areas of research with diverging interests. We work with a network of industry experts, academic scholars and thought leaders in civil society. Our researchers work in collaboration with academia, business, government and civil society to carry out research projects that contribute to advance knowledge in our selected research areas and provide direction for business and policy leaders.
Broadly, our research areas focus on development, business and policy. Research clusters derived from these broad areas focus more narrowly on specific sector of the economy. We have developed alliances and have competence to conduct research in a number of economic sectors some of which are energy and environment, information technology, biotechnology and healthcare, education, transportation and manufacturing. Our research clusters operate as an independent group comprised of experts and qualified researchers with practical experience in the primary area. We follow this approach to ensure the meeting of knowledgeable and informed minds to create an exchange of ideas through partnership and collaboration, prioritizing curiosity and open-mindedness within the set parameters and boundaries of the research project. Mostly, our research is established at the intersection where business and policy meet.

Phambili Foundation exists to fill a structural gap in access to expert research. We help to lower the barriers to entry for businesses by providing access to engaging research on economic sectors, to increase competitiveness. We aim to help to bring about constructive change in society and increase positive impact that will be beneficial to the broader society through actionable plans informed by expert research.
